Day 1: Travel to Volcanoes N/Park-Northern Province after City Tour

Have the best of a leisurely cup of coffee/tea after, and vacate the lodge to begin a day with a Kigali city tour. On your Kigali expedition, areas of interest include visiting the Kigali/Gisozi Genocide Site to learn about the history of Rwanda, you will also get the chance to visit some of the best craft markets/shops in Kigali and other sites. About 4 hours shall be spent exploring Kigali city, one of the safest and cleanest cities in the world.

Have lunch in one of the best hotels or restaurants and vacate Kigali Capital City for Volcanoes National Park (VNP), about a 2 to 3-hour drive. The park lies in Musanze, the Northern Province of Rwanda. Arrive early to have adequate rest and be well-prepared for the next day’s main primate adventure-Gorilla Trekking.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking & return to Kigali Capital City-Rwanda

In the morning, everyone is expected to be at the park office not only for a briefing but also to be allocated to a gorilla group. Trekking with mountain gorillas in Volcanoes N/Park is an unpredictable experience and usually, it takes 3-6 hours including the unmissable 1 hour of a close encounter with mountain gorillas and photography.

Return afterward to the hotel for lunch and check-out. The driver guide will take you back to Kigali in the hotel/airport if the flight is scheduled in the evening.
